450 upper availability

Postby Wicked Hunter » Mon Jan 09, 2012 2:34 pm

I'm new here but have been lurking around for a while. I'm in the market for a 20" upper and cant seem to find one. I had read somewhere on here that someone thought that Bushmaster had disontinued the 450. I gave them a call to see for myself. What they said was that they did discontinue the 16" 450 but will be making a run of the 20" uppers soon. Just thought you guys would like to know since alot of ou like the 16" upper. If anyone happens to know where i could get my hands on a 20" upper for a decent price please let me know.

Someone needs to call Windham Weaponry and suggest making the 450 Bushmaster.
Freedom Group, afterall, has been a constant disappointment.

They've gotta be nuts to cut the 16". The benefits of it as far as versatility are unmatched by the 20" and has almost no shortcomings when compared if you ask me. Considering that they are supplying the 18" version for Remington that may be where their interests lie. It took a number of hoops to be jumped through but I'm damn glad that I got my 16" rifle when I did. I also have a 20" Bushmaster Predator which is pretty much identical to the 20" version of the 450 and it is nowhere near as carry friendly.

I agree, but ya gotta call'em and tell'em what you think about the 16".

This is the first I've heard of this..

Bean counters are calling all the shots at Cerberus. From afar it doesn't appear that customer service, quality, or loyalty have anything to do with the decisions made for the various shooting industry firms they have swallowed up. Just prey they don't get their hands on any of the other major players in the American firearms business.
My Daddy was wrong when he said: "When a man turns 60 he ought to be able to trade his testicles in on a new set of teeth." Oatmeal and soup don't sound too bad.

I was told that remington version of the 450 had been discontinued. Corporate America doesn't care what we think anymore. I think they will sale more 20inch uppers if they can get them out. Folks don't like to wait on products today they will find something close and go with it, got to stay in the market place if you want to be competitive and have ample stock AR guns have to be the hottest selling gun on the market and from what I have seen and heard bushmaster is slow to react to demand
