That's the range you pay for those WSSM based ones that Olympic sells, but then they're a serious departure from conventional AR components, so you'd expect it to be reflected in the price. Unless Rem/BM really intends to get out of the caliber, which I just don't see happening, it's a matter of sitting tight until the next production phase. I'm betting by mid-March at the latest. A month and a half is worth waiting for a decent price. I can relate to the feeling you get when you have everything but the upper as I went through that myself. Heck, I had loads done and waiting for a month before my upper came. It was maddening...

I have one on back order at Cabela`s. After what I have been reading about Bushmaster discontinuing them and gave BM a call. They said they are backed up but still producing both lengths of uppers so just be patient..

I bought my 20" 450 upper from Walsh Gun and Tackle (989) 856-4465 off Gun Broker. $549.95 12/18/11. Best price I could find. Hit them up and see if they can get you one.

I called Walsh Gun & Tackle and talked to Scott about a month ago. He put me on a list for a 20" upper as soon as he can get his hands on one. He cant get a definite answer out of Bushmaster either.

Sorry to hear that. I was lucky. I got the wild hair and he was the best price I could find. Academy did have the camo Remington here for 1275.00 with A2 stock and 18" barrel. I could check and see if they still have that complete rifle for you. If that is something you are interested in.

Thanks for the offer but i went ahead and ordered a custom built upper from Trident Arms. I think i'm gonna be happy i did since they have already worked alot the bugs out of it. It should be at my doorstep early this coming week. I cant wait to shoot it, Just ask JAmes from Trident. I'm like a kid who can't wait for christmas to get here.
