I've seen hog kills with a Gamo air rifle, but there's nothing like the warm, fuzzy feeling of a 450b with a full mag...aahhh. With a 223, I'd be sure I was wearing my running shoes out there... :D

EDIT: Hey, that gives me an idea. We should develop a new 100-yard shooting sport: The "100-Yard Hog Dash"...for this one, you start down at the target frames, fire a shot into the bullseye, and then haul ass back to the shooting bench. Best time in full hunting gear wins!

. . . fire a shot into the bullseye, which is a steel plate on a lever. When the bullseye is hit, the lever opens the door of a cage below the target releasing a PO'd wild hog . . . .

There could be a handicap system for the size of the hog to be released. Many possibilities here.

I like your "hog handicap" idea...provides a little motivation to beat feet!

I called Cabelas and asked them when they would be available again and they said June 3rd. Bushmaster must be selling them quicker than they can make them. So glad I "pulled the trigger" when I did or I would have missed out. Got a buddy who is going to take me Hog hunting soon, so I've got to have that gun. I don't think my .223 would be the hog stopper a 450 is.

NEWS FLASH!!!

Bushmaster has been shipping uppers and whole guns, for at least the last half of Feb. They plan on having strong shipments for the next several months, or until they get caught up.

The hold up, seems to have been magazines. The Mag Manf. went belly up and was bought out. Looks like all of the same guys were retained, for the most part, except one of the disgruntled owners, who sold out and left the premises, for good. The other owner works there and the Company is up and running full bore, and have become better than they were before the fiasco..

I wonder if they'll sell the black followers as a separate part?
