How often do you clean

I shot some of my first reloads tonight 38gr lg 225 FTX ,I had about 30 rds down the barrel.The handloads did not shot near as well as the factory ammo nice conditions to shoot,il clean the barrel and try again .

You might try (if you haven't already) working up more loads at 0.5 grain increments, until pressure signs start showing up. Almost all rifles will have a boolit/charge weight combination that works particularly well in it, but maybe not in the next guy's identical rifle...just work up from a base load (which yours appears to be) very carefully.

If the cases were "sooty", blackened on the outside when they ejected, the cases are not sealing. Your crimp may not be sufficient or pressure is low. What kind of primers? Are you using the LeGendre Side crimp?

Little late getting back to you guys work has been crazy,I'm useing rem 7 1/2 primers tapper crimp to .474.I loaded some barns 275 xpb with 40 grs lil gun and shot them last night ,5 shot groups under an inch case did not look sooty at all.

I love it when a plan comes together! Sounds like you found a "sweet spot" for your rig there...should "K" some serious "A" out in the field with those 275 grainers.
