300 grain Hornady SST

Has anyone used the 300 grain Hornady SST bullet for deer (or other) hunting? It tested some different bullets and the 300 grain was a pretty good shooter with 33.3 grains of Lil Gun.

Those 300gr have a hard plastic tip or the same gummy tip the 250gr has?

The old hard tipped ones I shot a few deer with in my ML days.

I wouldn't hesitate to use the 300gr on deer.
