New to this site and also the .450 BM. Just purchased an upper a month ago. Anxious to take it to the range for the first time. Plan to use it for hunting hogs mostly but will also use it for white tail. Looking forward to gaining some valuable knowledge from you expirienced guys on the ins and outs of the .450.

New to the forum and to the 450BM, but not to the AR platform. Bought an upper from BM a few weeks ago, ammo from PSA, and reloading dies. Shot a dozen rounds a week or so ago. Love the 450 so far. Hoping to test it out on some hogs in a couple months.

Looking forward to learning from this forum. 8-)

Hi From New Zealand.
I'm new to the 450 BM.
I'm building a couple of bolt guns in 450 BM, mainly for subsonic rounds, bush hunting.
I will be using 12-14" barrels on Rem & Tikka actions, with 1-16 twist mainly because that was all I could get & for Subs they should be perfect.
Having a hard job getting brass so I've got a heap of Factory Hornady rounds & have pulled them.
Waiting for the reamer is tiring :(
Really looking forward to getting them going :D
Cheers Greg.

Thanks to convincing arguments from my buddy Derek, username DEC, the unavailablity of RRA 458 uppers and cost of ammo, I changed my plans from going the .458 SOCOM route and have just purchased a 450BM upper. It's not yet arrived, but man I can't wait til it gets here so I can get it ready for my Florida hog hunt in March. I'm new to the forum and have joined the Facebook group. I've been reading through a ton of posts here and, wow, you guys and your knowledge are a great resource for newbies like me. This will primarily be my deer gun here in Indiana, but any change I can get to go bust some hogs will be welcomed.

Anyway, I just wanted to drop in and say hello.

Hello All and Happy New Year.
I got my 16 inch upper assembly from the factory at Thanksgiving.
I've been a fan of Hornady bullets since the 80's, shooting a few deer with them thru a 44 Mag,
then saboted 45 cal for the inline muzzleloader then thru a rifled 12 gage. Plenty of "bang-flops" !
Got into ARs two years ago. Want to hunt with it.
Seems to me the Bushmaster qualifies as an Ohio legal handgun cartridge.
So that 16 inch is going on a pistol lower and that's why I'm here.
I hope the bushie recoil in my setup will be reasonable.
I don't believe the Franklin Armory XO 26 with its vertical foregrip, AKA non handgun,
will be an Ohio legal deer gun.
Maybe Ohio will go as Indiana and Michigan; I have a stocked lower ready.
So thanks for sharing so much info already.
